There aren't many people who've spent four years travelling around the world. Acclaimed travel writer, Ted Simon, is one of a rare breed to have done so twice. 'Jupiter's Travels' tells the story of his first journey in the '70s, which he reprised with 'Dreaming of Jupiter' a quarter of a century later. Among his many other books, 'The Gypsy In Me' stands out for its vivid portrayal of post-Soviet Eastern Europe as Ted searched for traces of his estranged Romanian father.
Ted Simon was born in Germany, grew up in England, and spent more than three decades in Northern California. He now lives in the south of France.
