Tanya Shadrick FRSAVicariousFestival
Tanya Shadrick is a 'writer of the outside' who works in public spaces to encourage others to share stories and take creative risks.
Tanya has been writer-in-residence in many outdoor locations in the UK and overseas, including a lido, a listed cliffside cabin for the National Trust, Virginia Woolf’s last home on the Sussex Downs, and in the grounds of the Jan Michalski Foundation for Writing and Literature in Switzerland. She is known in the nature writing community for her Wild Patience Scrolls - a mile of writing during which she asked those who encountered her when they felt most wild and free.
A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Tanya is also editor and publisher of the 2019 Wainwright Prize longlisted Wild Woman Swimming (The Selkie Press).
