Nick Jubber

Nick Jubber describes himself as being fascinated by storytelling, nomadism, exploration and the connections between past and present.

He has written four books: Epic Continent, about a journey from Turkey to Iceland in the shadow of Europe's most enduring epic tales; The Timbuktu School for Nomads, about his experiences among nomads in North Africa; Drinking Arak off an Ayatollah's Beard, exploring the Persian-speaking world from Tehran to the tomb of a medieval Sultan in Afghanistan; and Dolman Travel Book Award winner, The Prester Quest, which follows the mission of a medieval physician sent in search of a mythical priest-king from the canals of Venice to the highlands of Ethiopia.
