Lola Akinmade Åkerström

Lola Akinmade Åkerström's photography has been published by the likes of National Geographic Traveler, BBC, CNN, The Guardian, Travel + Leisure, Slate, Travel Channel, Adventure.com, AFAR, and Lonely Planet. She is the author of two books: the award-winning Due North and bestselling LAGOM: Swedish Secret of Living Well, which is available in 18 foreign language editions around the world.

Lola is editor-in-chief of Slow Travel Stockholm and founder of NordicTB Collective, which brings together top professional travel bloggers and digital storytellers. She is the 2018 Travel Photographer of the Year Bill Muster Award recipient and was honoured with a MIPAD 100 (Most Influential People of African Descent) Award. Her photography is represented by the National Geographic Image Collection.

Lola has travelled in more than 70 countries. She lives in Stockholm, Sweden.
