Julian Sayarer

Julian Sayarer has made many journeys by bicycle and as a hitchhiker, along the way recording a passing view of the world’s roadsides. After breaking the 18,000-mile world record for a circumnavigation by bicycle, he went on to write his first book, Life Cycles.

He is a fellow of the Royal Literary Fund, and winner of the Stanford Dolman Travel Book of the Year award for his book, Interstate, and its depiction of a less-seen USA.

Fifty Miles Wide is Julian's fifth book and documents by bicycle the Israeli occupation of Palestine.
